Putting it all down to simply having a goal to his name is short sighted.
You can’t score without having the foundations in place to get the chances. As long as he takes the chances seriously he will convert in time. He should always be a ruthless poacher.
The most important thing right now about Aubameyang is his general performance. Good first touch, positioning, movement, and to a lesser extent, shielding, link-up, passing etc.
Forwards don’t always get chances but they can and should be involved in the play on and off the ball. That’s where on a tactical level he can be concerning.
He’ll get used to the flanks again. Auba and Laca both playing gives a great sense of poaching threat to the opposition. Could really cause some issues when you have Ramsey sneaking in so often.
See how that works? The man takes his craft seriously and makes it his number one priority. That’s how he can go out to WWW and then score a goal on the weekend.
To be fair though he picked up Laca when he was low and helped build him back up again. When both these lads are firing we will benefit from their relationship.
