Pep Guardiola

There should be an asterisk next to his name on here.

Or maybe just ā€œfuck that guyā€ underneath

Pep did it:

Yahoo is part of the Yahoo family of brands.

Bumping this in the middle of the summer without the news of his departure from City is criminal.

Atleast he’s in his seat. Mikel would probably be on the court, shouting at the players :arteta:

This bald cunt is now saying he wants to stay at City. Even he knows he won’t have it as good City anywhere else and he’s not the kinds to work with limitations.

Haven’t listened or watched the actual interview but from the transcript it might just be him trying to calm some concerned heads in his team.
A couple of their players want out and you’d think Pep’s uncertain future is playing a part in it.

Personally, I’m more concerned with Arteta not renewing yet. Purely speculating here but I wonder if Arteta is delaying it on purpose to have a stronger hand while the transfer window is ongoing.
I hope by September our guy is tied down.

What do folks here make of Pep’s approach to the second half?

Despite knowing that Arsenal would be down to 10 men and defend for 45 minutes, Pep didn’t create a structure that would trouble Arsenal’s defence. His team also had access to what Arsenal did against Brighton.

City were completely clueless in those 45 minutes, which is a testament to Arsenal’s defence. However, you also need to question how a manager couldn’t conjure up good chances with talent like Bernardo Silva, Foden, Kovacic, Gundogan, Haaland, Savio, and Doku.

I get that breaking down a low block can be frustrating, but at least throw crosses in and make runs. But they resorted mostly to long shots.

I hope this serves as a template for other teams who go there.

Baffling

I was very pleased to see Dias and Walker being the ones getting so many touches on the ball centrally just outside the box, you’d have thought that they would get their best passers and strikers of the ball on the ball but it was the ineffectual guys seeing the ball the most.

Bernardo barely dribbled when he got the ball out wide. I was terrified of that as it seemed like an easy way to destabilise us.

Yeah, could’ve done with that sub earlier seeing his impact. Martinelli was very good in the first half but I think he struggled a bit in the second half.

Ok the overall point, Pep’s subs(Stones got the goal, Grealish started it) got him the equaliser.
I wouldn’t underestimate how tough we’re to break down when we defend like that.

Yeah but that was only towards the end. He won them a penalty at the Emirates 3 years ago from a similar position.

They needed something other than lateral passes just outside the box, but I’m glad they did that.

Well, 12 vs 10 and the bald fraud still needed a last minute deflected goal. A City fan (read cunt) on YT claimed that was champion’s mentality from City, getting a draw at home against 10 men.

You are right, he needs more players cause he clearly doesn’t have enough, the poor thing.

The template is one thing, executing it is a whole other thing. There isn’t another team in the land that can do what we did.

Only their mentality is championship mentality.
