Paul Davis

Hi, I’m the host of a retro football podcast ‘When Shorts Were Short’ that covers the 1954-92 period in football history when shorts were, well, short. The opening ep of S2 features an interview with Paul Davis. He talks about the challenge of trying to replace Liam Brady, the Don Howe years, and his difficulties and successes with George Graham. The podcast is available from all podcast providers.

I absolutely loved this guy.

Hated it when Stephen Hendry overtook his 6 world titles.

And he could even break Glenn Cockerills jaw without using his cue

Cockerill was a dirty player and what Davis did was unusual for him so he must have deserved it.

Not a fan of blindside punches but that was a pretty clean connection.
