Southgate could be in the mix after the world cup.

Toon getting relegated is beneficial, the longer we can stretch out them moving above us in the pecking order the better

Think they’ll bring in a decent manager to help them avoid relegation and then go big in the summer, but would be funny if things don’t click and they go down to the championship. They’d probably buy their way back, but would still be a good laugh

Unai Emery lol. I wonder if he has improved his English.

Emery doesn’t seem that bad a shout to me, after all, this is Newcastle we’re talking about. He’s not the guy to give 400 million to and ask to win you the league, but he’d be a good way of bridging the gap between someone as shit as Steve Bruce and the manager who you’d appoint when you’re ready to challenge top four.

Can make an argument for all 3 for the initial period tbh.
None would take them down and all with investment could make them mid table which is realistically were they’ll be for 2years at least.

Emery did get our highest league finish since 2016 tbf to him even though the beginning of his second season was a disaster.

Although don’t think he got us as low as Arteta has managed

Joint highest league finish since 2016 it must be added.

Martinez sucks , don’t see what he’d bring there at all.

Never should have got the Belgium job, he’s wasted prime years of their golden generation.

Was absolute madness how he not only got it but kept it for the two major tournaments they were at their peak haha

Newcastle FC forum had a good suggestion in AVB taking charge of them he’s more then good enough for a stepping stone manager an will at least develope the youth aswell.

He’ll blag his way into the job via the interview

He talks like a politician or spin doctor so wouldn’t be surprised.

Have to agree with this. It’s not fair to basically tell Bruce your getting sacked but only when we find someone to replace you.

Thank him for his services and hand it to a caretaker while you get a new manager appointed
