The role seems to be like a glorified player liaison more than anything, which is what always i always thought Edu was.
Campos is better than that
But the narrative on the Edu thread as soon as he left was ‘he didn’t do much anyway’ 
I’ll admit, I know nothing about DoFs and what makes one a good one.
Just came across a super negative review about Rosicky as a Sparta sporting director, by an apparent Sparta fan.
I’m taking this with a bag of salt, could be some random Rosicky hater who’s just after his head, but if there’s any truth to to this he should really be no contender for anything.
Surprised to learn he’s been at Sparta for 7 years already. As an assistant sporting director since January 2018, and then as the main man since the December of that year.
Apparently they have been doing pretty shit for most of that time. They had no firm vision, poor talent ID etc… The crowd wanted him out, he offered his resignment at one point.
Then (after almost 5 years lol) he stumbled upon a danish manager who got them 2 titles, he was bringing in some new players, got rid of a lot of crap Rosicky brought to the club… He left in the last summer and apparently now they are shit again.
I’m a bit concerned it’s Guardian who’s linking Rosicky to us.
I can only hope the club has better info about Rosicky than I do atm

Personally I’m not too worried about this appointment as I have faith in the club. I actually think that Jason Ayto has a good chance of getting the job.
He has done nothing! Signed nobody, extended nobody.

As long as AFC/KSE is hiring based on a meritocracy, then I have no issues with this.
But if there’s no bangers coming in January or Summer then… lord help us all.
