it was a lovely retirement video but I always thought he was really average
Yeah people are remembering him with rose tinted glasses. Guy stunk the place up when he joined and then had a 12-18 month purple patch and then went back to being a liability.
Absolutely got washed defensively so many times.
An okay player. His biggest credit was not being as bad as Kieran Gibbs who got way too much time at the club despite never improving and being able to play in a back three which was just Wenger being desperate.
Feel like this guy wouldâve been perfect for the Arteta system but a few years too late.
AM_Exile has ended his year-long no-post exile
Nacho is cool too
My second favorite player of that era. Malagaâs financial troubles really helped us out.
True professional, miss him a lot.
Really good left back.
no one cares about Monreal
If you deep it, Monreal did more at Arsenal than Bellerin.
Who is the person doing the talking off camera? Itâs a shame it took zubi having to mention the nacho man as monreal shouldâve been included in that list, especially ahead of Hector
Monreal was a good solid player. Donât remember how much he cost initially but I think we got a deal with him and Cazorla after Malaga had their financial issues.
Monreal for me was never a good player for us, so overrated by our fan base
No one mentions him unless something spanish is being discussed.
He played as well as one could expect from him and consistently.
He was class once he found his feet here and came up with a big goal or two.
I disagree, Iâll always have time/respectw for the guys like Monreal that just get on with it and go about their business. Itâs such an underrated character trait in life.
Yeah, wasnât that good initially but once he got settled he was a very reliable full back.
Bellerin hit higher highs, especially early on but the latter half of his Arsenal career was pretty rough.
Scored a late and very important goal in the FA Cup semi final against City, so for that alone he will alway have my respect.
