If we do get Mudryk it will make a change for us to get a player that another top club were after unlike Wenger who used to say “we can only go for players that the big clubs don’t want” and would never go into a bidding war with anyone.
He used to do business as if he was spending his own money and it was this loser attitude in the transfer market that lost him his job.
Were they really after Mudryk if they didn’t even make a reasonable bid?
At the end, this wasn’t a bidding war, rather one side just finalized on a different player and moved on.
We are getting Mudryk because Chelsea doesn’t want him enough soooo
I seen someone blaming them for prices going up.
I didn’t see the follow up on Shaktar being acknowledged as having got a bit more money but knowing there limitations.
I did see a few people calling for the club to walk away from the deal though.
Yep.
They did their best really. Were lucky Chelsea somehow got involved as well.
Huge payday for them regardless. I was thinking he’ll moreso cost us 40m pounds a few months back, and that’s with the urgency of having to sign him in January.
They’ll get more than that as a fixed fee and there’s gonna be a bunch of bonuses included as well that could rise thar to 60+m pounds.
Not bad for Ukrainian team selling a Ukrainian player with his experience.
I fancy it works out Ash. Think he will raise the excitement level with his speed.
Has some good ball control too. Think the biggest thing that helps him here is the fact we have a settled team and he adds to the options, rather than being the marquee signing.
