It’s stats like this that mean we might have a chance of that elusive top half trophy.

I know stats have an important part in the game but all these “this is the first time Arteta’s Arsenal have had more second half throw ins than their opponents in a month where Mars has been in conjunction with Jupiter” stats don’t really say much to me.

5 wins out of 6.
Confidence is up.
Now onto the tough ones.

It looks like Arteta has escaped the sack with the recent turnaround against mostly bottom quartile teams in the prem.

Now the real test begins to see if the youngsters are good enough against top half competition when supported by the newly fit Partey. Think having Tierney, Martinelli fit again, ESR and Saka we’ve had a real positive. The next 5-6 weeks could be a disaster for us but if we win most of these games as well, I think it will suggest Arteta has turned a corner and will probably keep his job come the Summer.

Personally, I really hope he does prove a success and that the current clear out of over expensive old dross further improves the culture at the club.

Arteta is such a conniving bastard. No chance he will uphold his promise.

He probably said nothing of the sort.

ITK’s as always are full of it.

So we ain’t getting European football through the league, out of the FA cup early, if we don’t go on a significant Europa League run he should be out of a job.

A normal run club terminates his contract in the summer regardless.

We’re not completely out of the European places in the league yet but Arteta is definitely up against the wall.

In a little over a year, he has found exactly one combination of players and tactics where we look genuinely good, the 4-2-3-1 with ESR central and Saka on the right. His future rests on whether that setup can rocket us up the league table in the second half of the season or take us really deep into the Europa League. If neither happens, he is done.

Think the point has been made, but if ur that reliant on that certain subset of players to drag ur dumb ass to glory, you shouldn’t have a fucking job. This team is made up of players who Arteta has chosen and are being paid millions only to be knocked out of the FA Cup in the 4th round :joy::joy:

We’re 5 points off 6th it’s not necessarily over but clearly unlikely.

We’ve beaten WBA, Newcastle and Brighton reserves as 3 of our 4 wins. No way we’re coming top 6.

The last bit of hope to cling onto is Tierney, Partey, ESR, Saka and an Aubameyang resurgence.

Not really fussed about this. Arteta had to rotate. Cedric playing left back was a bold move and the omission of Maitland-Niles again should be worrying.

Top 4 is still very much on, same goes for EL.
Arteta’s best way to reconcile this is by winning the next match(and hopefully the next one too).

The truth is a more capable manager is getting more out of these scrubs, a key part of the remit of the coach after Emery is surely getting the most out of the players at his disposal even if they aren’t good enough long term.

How can we be so shite without his saviours such as Saka, ESR and Tierney. Its a damming indictment on him.

There’s ppl that are still holding onto blind hope that Arteta is gonna get us top 4 or even top 6 in the league?
