Players wasteful in front of goal again. Not signing a striker has fucked our season entirely.
Our problems are bigger than just a striker imo. Look dire in every area tbh

Not signing a striker was always going to be a problem - so many posters on here used the x amount of goals we scored last season as justifying.
Nah man, you need a world class striker in any situation no matter what. But regardless, we have many issues. We can’t seem to be playing purposeful football anymore.
Liverpool, City and Chelsea are the real points dropped moments for me this season.
We conceded so so late against City, missed easy chances against Chelsea and broke down with injuries against Liverpool.
We shock have 9 points from those 3 instead of 3 points.

I honestly think it’s not signing a better left winger than Martinelli. That’s what really ruined us in attack.

Great goal from Martinelli today but 100% this.
It’s harsh on Martinelli, but so was when we upgraded Leno, Tierney, Zinchenko, Ramsdale, Xhaka and others.
It’s the position currently that just sticks out. It was sticking out last season too but Trossard was playing out of skin there towards the end so the issue wasn’t as highlighted.
There is an argument that there wasn’t a top class forward in the market but that means we’re left with the hope someone between Martinelli, Trossard, Jesus and Sterling stepping up in that spot.
So far none of them have.
