Is the second May bank holiday being dropped this year? I hear that we’re going to have a Thurs and Fri off at the beginning of June to mark the Queen’s 70 years on the throne (or something).

Could be false. Could have been something that was being touted in the autumn last year.

Bit of a shame if the June bank hols don’t happen. We lose out on an extra bank hol this year if it doesn’t :upside_down_face:

The Queen came to the throne in 1952, so it’ll be next year when we get an extra bank holiday for the “celebration”

If that doesn’t satisfy them, the Europa League is held every Spursday.
