Referring to him as a child in the tweet seems a bit emotive. Arteta has played him and therefore opened him up to scrutiny.
Granted, I haven’t heard what Neville has actually said, but within reason he’s fair game like any other player surely.

He was excellent today and you could feel the buzz in the crowd at the Emirates when he came on. You just know he’s going to be a special player for us. He plays with no fear.

Assuming it is just what was said during the game, (I didn’t watch any post-game analysis), he originally implied he thought it was a dive. But then on the replay saw the first contact was Dowman having his foot stood on and said it was a correct penalty.
You’ve missed the point of that option, it’s so you mods can have an easier time and ignore all the off-topic reports. If it wasn’t an option people would choose the “something else” option and you’d have to actually look into it

Well, Neville was going with that because at half-time his narrative was that Gyokeres’ first touch was poor, his passing was poor and that the guy was obviously struggling to get into the game. 3 minutes into the second half he had to rip-up his notes and start again.

Wouldn’t say he trod on it, minimal contact at best. Would hate for us to have one of these given against us, and the primary reason for going down was the contact on the foot which Dowman drags through.

Exactly, but it shouldn’t be a pen when it’s against us either. Ramires always sticks in my mind for being a cunt doing it against us.
Havertz did one last season or the year before too, deserve the calls since we get all the shit possible otherwise but will still say it shouldn’t have been a pen.
Anyway we’ll already be +2 in that stupid var +\- table now, so other clubs and media can paint the narrative of VARsenal again.

No, the Leeds defender stood on his toes. Not only is that a foul, but it’s really painful. 100% a penalty no matter who is playing. If that’s given against us, I’m not complaining, it stops the attacker from moving.
