Surely this transfer is about succession planning rather than upgrading. You don’t really upgrade Thomas Partey (minus hopefully getting someone who is available across more of their Arsenal career).
Fair points. Zubimendi is a good player. He better be one of a few signings though.
Signing Zubimendi is about succession planning and about upgrading on Partey.
This is exactly it.

Zubi is capable of one touch passing
Well…Arsenal under Arteta is always going to be a possession based passing side. The attributes you mention are quite important for that reason.
Maybe a Partey - Zubimendi partnership would even be better for Arsenal as long as Arteta is the coach with his type of play.
Ok I’m calling it…It seems clear that I am Zubimendi’s biggest fan on here!
Maybe one of the Mods could change my tag to reflect this?
You might be one of his biggest fans period my guy.
If I edit your tag I’m not going to waste it on that.
Thankfully, there are some impartial Mods on OA.
Oh yes I forgot because anyone who disagrees with you about anything is obviously wrong. My apologies.
That’s a weird response to a fairly light hearted comment that wasn’t even aimed at you.
Come on it was aimed at me and that’s fine I guess. Just a shame, as it always feels like you want to try to start an argument with me. For the record, I enjoy a lot of your posts and agree a lot of your views.

Come on it was aimed at me and that’s fine I guess.
Not to defend @Leper, but I think you misread that tbh. I thought it was indeed a light hearted joke about the mods.
How was he tonight?
From what I saw, bang average. But then again the entire Sociedad team looked crap.
From what I’ve seen. He was okay.
Thought he was their best player but that’s not saying much.
Sociedad are a sinking ship at the moment.
I saw him against Barca and Madrid recently too. I got a similar vibe to Ruben Neves towards the end at Wolves. He stayed too long, should’ve left last summer. Even if he doesn’t come here, I think he’s leaving Sociedad anyway.
