Complete dogshit for a long time. Looked ok at home vs Leverkusen and dogshit since then.
I think our approach is partly to blame because he will likely go to the Euros and look great when heās in a team who try to actually play football in the opposition half instead of playing ping pong among defenders before playing it to him with 10 defenders on him.

i think this is itā¦ and i think Flexo has mentioned this previously.. what we really need in the way that we play atm and have a hard time keeping possession through progression and in attacking half is someone who is more mobile/physical and can carry the ball fastā¦ Martin atm seems to just accentuate what we are already naturally inclined to doā¦ pass it around neatly, slowly, and he doesnāt offer any physicality and burst - he has great positioning and anticipation (or he did), but honestly that isnāt what we really need in these games where we have struggled to really progress and retain and dissectā¦ didnāt help that our attackers too often just lose the ball stupidlyā¦ or pass backā¦
I am genuinely devastated he didnāt bottle this move like he did to Liverpool 12 months earlier
