Martin Ødegaard (c) (8)

Not to mention Eze looks way off the pace of the team with his pressing and off the ball movement. Definitely needs time to bed in but he’ll be fine

That pre-assist was quality.
He is back

If we have Martin Ødegaard back this is on

Was good again today, key part in two goals. That pass to Saka was scrumptiously executed.

Thought he was very average. Do I care? No. We’re winning. Got an assist so the output is firing.

Not his best performance but had a hand in both the 2nd and 3rd goal which were decisive.

Definitely not captain material though.

Key contributions in the 2nd half but Odegaard was non-existent in the first half. This part was so frustrating:

Hardly got involved in the game. Wasn’t able to dictate his playmaking game in central advanced positions.

Back to his usual shite again

That what you get for playing him for the whole games in all these recent games.

Didn’t show up in this second half.
Should have been subbed off much earlier.

Saw him dropping into the centre back role a few times to pick the ball up. So pointless.

A man of patience as usual

I didn’t think he was especially bad tonight tbh.

He was fine? No better than the likes of everyone else really.

I forgot that as captain, he’s inclined to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and LEAD, SHOUT AND BE A CAPTAIN FFS.

Thought he was fucking awful if I’m honest.

He wasn’t shying away but over looking for the ball, then taking too long trying to find something special only to give up on it as the player makes the run and then slide a 20 yard simple pass out to the left.

Added zero value and spent the first half playing RCB.

I thought he was good in the first half. I guess he just dropped physically in the second, just as Saka, and both should have been subbed off earlier.

Two good games and reverts to default. Fails yet again to influence the game. Sometimes even deeper than Zubimendi.

I’m starting to think he was given the captaincy in hope it would have affected him in the same it did years ago for Cesc. He turned into a man after that and lead by example. I loved Ode but he’s not that guy and will continue to put these average games in time after time, as he has been doing for two years now.

slows the game down too much sometimes literally running in circles to evade players. He scarcely ever plays any penetrating passes either so he barely effects the game in a positive way.

just another fidget spinning performance.

Had enough of these types of players.
