Bye then!

All that talent coming out of Brazil and this shitter and Martinelli are all Edu managed to poach in 5 years of working at Arsenal?

and he suddenly was on garden leave but people think that he decided he has had enough of Arsenal and wanted to go. I feel he either jumped before being pushed or the higher ups etc was sick of him.

Nah he took the Forest job because it offered him way more power and probably a better financial package too

It seems quite hard to convince young Brazilians to come to the PL, when they can just go play in Spain.

Chelsea don’t seem to have struggled doing it over the last couple years.

Feels like we just didn’t tap into the market enough

Not seeing many really succeeding either. Some may be good but in general they are just ‘good’ at best

Really?

Fernandinho
Gabriel Jesus
Ederson
Cunha
Gilberto Silva
Oscar
Firmino
Alisson
Fabinho
Coutinho
Gabriel
David Luiz

Seems pretty good to me lol

Love Gilberto and Gabby obviously but i feel (personally) a lot of those names were just good i dont see many that i feel are AMAZING and even if i did that is a short list probably in comparison to how many have come to the EPL.

Come on lol that’s a list of players who mostly all operated at a very high level in England playing for massive clubs and winning / competing for major honours.

Bar a couple of names that list contains excellent PL talent who were among the leading players in their respective positions

you may feel that way but for me say for example Gabby Jesus, to me he is very good at the tricky stuff but as a striker and getting the ball in the back of the net hmmm to me i feel he just doesn’t cut it. Even before his his injury i just didnt feel he was that great and Pep had him all that time but he never really had amazing numbers and well Pep sold him to us sodidnt rate him that highly.

As i say each to their own, not disputing they weren’t good for their teams but for me a lot weren’t that memorable.

I’m with @SRCJJ that’s a good list. Especially given the narratives ‘cold night in Stoke’ ‘can he adapt to a physical league’ existed.

Juninho Paulista. Have to add him, probably the first Brazilian in the PL, no?

The original Juninho. WC 2002 winner, played a few games there.

Not many of those came straight to England however. Brazilian and even Argentinian wonderkids natural find their way to Latin Europe before England.

Gilberto and Gabriel M are our only real Brazilian hits in the Premier League. Jesus and Martinelli are good players but nobody will remember their time here unless we pull off something big soon.

Wellington Silva, Andre Santos and Denilson - I prefer not to speak!

I don’t really get what it is you’re arguing at this point.

You said you haven’t seen many Brazilians succeed in the PL and I provided you with a list of Brazilians who’ve undoubtedly been a success in the PL. Clearly my list wasn’t exhaustive enough given people have been adding more names to it.

At one point in time Gilberto Silva, Fernandinho and Fabinho were accepted as being either the best or one of the best in the league in that midfield position.

Alisson and Ederson are amongst the two best goalkeepers in the world over the last decade.

Coutinho and Firmino were regarded as two of the best attacking players in the league at the peak of their powers.

Gabriel is one of the best CBs in the world.

Jesus was a key player for the most dominant team in PL history whether you like his numbers or not he was a big part of City’s success and he was exceptional for us before the injury.

Your narrative about not seeing many succeed and them only being “good at best” is just flat out false.

And if we’re honest the only top quality Brazilian player who arrived here with a huge reputation was Robinho and he was sensational before he decided he hated Manchester and wanted to leave.
