Marquinhos

How’s he been on loan? Anyone know?

Seems like he’s doing okay, not scored or assisted since that game he got sent off but getting more minutes now.

Wagner said he’s settled in well with the team and improving so at least he should get a decent amount of games til the end of the season.

Hopefully he’ll get a couple more goals but norwich seem a bit shite in general the last few games.

Think the play next season is to continue on loan a la Balogun. Either get back a more seasoned player ready to offer or sell come 2024.

The question will be whether he’s done enough to earn a loan to a bottom half premier team as that’s the level we need him to be playing at week in week out. A full season in the championship probably doesn’t tell us much.

Doesn’t have to be PL. Balogun is getting hyped up and he’s playing in Ligue 1.
I’ll take a loan to any of the Portuguese, French, Italian and Spanish leagues. And no, fuck a loan to Bumdesliga.

I’d rather just sell him for a small profit now tbh

Apparently he is always happy and he is funny. That should increase his value.

Outgoings galore it seems.
Run it back, Joel Campbell at Olympiacos, but this time we sell him for good money when he comes back.

Our best hope of making some cash on this guy is that someone confuses him for some other Marquinhos

Buyback? :eyes:

I suspect they will not be taking up that option.

Good deal. Puts him in the shop window.

He likes playing for teams that wear yellow and green

They made a double announcement. :joy:

Just a loan and no buy option then? Seemed like a decent deal all round that 12m option-22m buy back but let’s hope we can get a bit more for him after a good season then.

Why so keen to sell?

He may come back ready to go for us?
Happened with Saliba after 2 seasons of loans

Not against the idea he can contribute for us but we’ve also got to be realistic, what we’ve seen so far was decent glimpses but nothing to suggest he’s going to challenging Saka/Martinelli.

No harm taking a decent return and putting that towards somebody who will. Let’s see how he gets on

Oh Absolutely
This may be part of his plan to improve, we have to give these guys we’re taking punts on a chance and believe they can make it with us, otherwise why are Edu and Mikel buying them?

He has talent, go and refine it and come back stronger.
