Manchester United

To be fair I think RvN will do better than Ten Hag at United.

Had a great season with PSV as well

So what’s the verdict on EtH now @Forever?

Considering the successes he had at Ajax, I can’t fade him. But there is no denying in that he failed at United.

I think his communication skills in English are a tremendous obstacle.

At the same time, every single coach after Ferguson failed at United. So it’s perhaps not just his doing, but the entire structure at United that is making it hard to succeed? Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Ole. They all failed in the end.

He’s had £600m+ to spend on his own players I’m not accepting any structure issues with him. He’s just a crap manager.

At United yes, at Ajax he was a great manager, overperforming with a budget team (compared to the big clubs outside of Eredivisie).

I think Mainoo needs to watch someone like Kovacic. He can become that type of #8 for sure IMO

Was it really a budget team? Or more so a timely compilation of players who would have otherwise been significantly more valuable?

Happens every now and then, Monaco, Porto etc. It’s starting to appear that it may have been more an aberration than good management.

The way he’s gone about building this team and his questionable decisions demonstrates that he isn’t really the guy that was on show at Ajax.

Ajax was a perfect storm where all the players were there and it came together brilliantly, he obviously played his role in that as the coach but what’s clear is that he has no clue or answers on how to replicate it whether it’s style of play, cohesion or success.

If you told anyone that two former Eredivisie coaches were going to battle it out with their respective teams in the PL and one had been in the league for two seasons and spent £600m whereas the other had just joined and was coaching his third game only having spent £12m no one would say the latter was Slot.

ten Hag is way out of depth at this level., they should have put him out of his misery but instead they prolonged the death by 1000 cuts.

Well Ajax performed well for 5 seasons of which a few seasons over performing in the Champions League.

Of course it was budget team compared to big clubs they would beat in the CL such as Real
Madrid.

There are other people involved but Ten Hag was the coach at the time and equally part of that success.

Owning that Seven Hag moniker.

The perpetuation of Eric rolls on.

that’s why Goal.com is just full of shit writers…

Zirkzee doesn’t have anything like Zlat the King.

Joshua Zirkzee already ‘looks a bit like’ Zlatan Ibrahimovic - but Man Utd’s £36m man desperately needs return of Rasmus Hojlund to unlock full potential | Goal.com US

Apparently United ate Palace alive in the first half. ETH comes up with some good ones.

ate them alive but yet the scoreline was 0-0

You would have thunk they’d have taken all three points with the next Ibrahimovic, and the next Zidane in the starting lineup… and the next whoeverdinho not even in the starting eleven.
