Manchester City*

So it looks like this will be KDB’s final year. Was hoping he’d fuck off now but he isn’t the force he used to be, despite the fact he will undoubtedly directly win them games next season out of nothing. Cunt. But hopefully there will be fewer “clutch” moments from the Sherminator.

A big part of the creative torch is being passed to Foden, but presumably Pep will still be looking for an elite final ball in this window. Not many of them around tbh.

These elite passers are fading out. Modric, Kroos, KDB…feels like a bit of a dying art.

The days of Riquelme, Pirlo, Rui Costa, Zidane, Guti etc seem a distant memory. So many maestros on the ball but where are these players now?

Hopefully he’ll be injured again.

Oops

it begins. Thread title should be changed to “137-charges” now.

Hopefully, the upcoming penalties and fines for a decade of cheating with leave an asteroid sized whole to swallow these cunts.

Talking to some friends who are spurs and West Ham supporters and they’re convinced Man City will get relegated.
Not sure about that but a several season transfer ban would with a points deduction would be good.

When Guardiola goes they’re not winning much anyway, despite massive spending.

I’m still all in on a several hundred point deduction. Even 2 per charge would do it.

As funny as that would be that’s only going to disrupt them for a season, which isn’t enough.
It would be more appropriate to give them a massive points deduction with a long transfer ban so their best players would leave and they wouldn’t be able to buy their way out of trouble.

Well two seasons at least because it’s guaranteed relegation but also in my version they’d start season three on minus 130 points or whatever and get relegated again.

I don’t see a transfer ban as a real possibility as they haven’t exactly broken transfer rules and ultimately thats actually a FIFA and FA concern, not the PL.

Alvarez played a lot when Haaland was injured but also alongside him so I’m not sure why some people think he didn’t play many games but he’s is a decent player so should do ok at Atlletico

The very notion that he must not have played enough is a good enough reason for him to move.
Perception is a big thing for a footballer and a lot of brand deals get impacted by being a invisible player among all the stars.
He seems like a squad player in that City squad and for someone who won World cup as a starting CF for Argentina, he should try being the main man and get greater recognition.

According to several reports, including the below, the date for trial into Man City charges is due to take place in mid-to-late September…not long to wait now (although who knows how long the trial will take)

Sure the trial will affect their performance

Heard Martin Ziegler say the trial can take 10 weeks and then there will be further time required for deliberation on the decision.

Hopefully a decision will be made in 2024. I always just assume that City will employ every delaying tactic in the book to stall the whole process.

If Man City are cleared of all charges, they could file a counter claim against the EPL for the reputational damage to their brand.

But there’s no smoke without fire. They’re gonna be in the mud for sure.

What will it mean for those clubs who were relegated during the years of City’s cheating?? They could file against the EPL too.
