Man City vs Arsenal (PL) 2-1

Never thought I’d see the day we were 6 clear at the top of the PL with 5 to go and in the CL semi finals and I would feel absolutely 0 excitement. Just pure dread every few days

This game basically is a playoff. If we lose, it’s not even a question in my mind that we’ll drop the requisite points from the last few games to hand City the title.

I’m excited. It’s a big game and a draw will feel like a win. I don’t see us getting pounded so it should be tight. It’s a big opportunity.

I don’t trust this team like I previously did and it can still all completely crumble but I’m not giving up until we lose.

Not for me.

I was thinking like that up until a few weeks ago, but the way it’s looking atm, I genuinely believe we are able to drop points in literally ANY of the remaining games after City.

Before we show some signs of progress and some life coming back to our game, I won’t feel confident in the slightest, no matter the result on Sunday

The squad just looks drained like a fucking squeezed lemon…

My copium is the return of Saka, Odegaard and Timber. But my fear is they will not play a part until after the etihad.

Jesus Havertz Martinelli
Eze Zubimendi Rice
Hincapie Gabriel Saliba White
Raya

Assuming no new players are fit to start.

If Arteta starts a front three of Trossard/Martinelli Gyokeres Madueke I will lose my shit and it should be an immediate sackable offence.

EDIT: The more i look at that lineup the more I think it can cause City serious problems on the break. For the love of god just please dont play Havertz in midfield or Gyokeres up top.

In their current form, 2 out of those 3 add nothing to us that will change the outcome on Sunday.

[formation=4-3-3]
raya
White - Saliba - Gabriel - Cala
Hincapié - MLS - Mosquera
Salmon - Norgaard - Kepa

I’d be a bit concerned about Kepa starting.

Not a single corner taker in that line up. No way it’ll win.

Owen Goal to come from the bench and get injured for lack of fitness

Please start havertz

Form, performances and momentum all point to City winning this one.

I don’t mind us losing this one if we put in a proper display and challenge them like potential champions should do. But losing playing the horror football we played against them in the cup final would proper piss me off.

But would have no complaints if we grind a result playing the horror football.

Supporting this club has turned one into a schizophrenic

Play Martinelli up front.

Martinelli >>>> Gyok

even if we lose, we are not out of title race. if we lose this and win our remaining 5, which we should, it will come down to GD, i.e. if City win all their remaining games including win at Everton and Bournemouth. i dont see them winning either of those 2
