Lucas Torreira

So glad it was on Rose. Hate that cunt with a passion.

That was a red card though

Always felt that he would eventually get a red card sometime during this season. Couldn’t have come against someone better.

I know Rose is a Spurs player and etc., but I do appreciate how open he was about his mental heath issues. We need way more of that in the game and society in general. If a footballer, the platonic ideal of masculinity, can have mental health struggles than it’s okay for regular young men to have them too.

I didn’t see it. So it’s not a red for me. Something I didn’t see cannot be yellow or red. It’s a good tackle. Especially against Spurs.

Now being serious it was a yellow but if it made a heavier contact on rose. I would cry red. We get plenty of those awful challenges from other teams so I won’t be hypocritical about it.

If he played for the scum the FA would have got rid of the ban and said sorry for sending him off

Fucking FA.

It was a ball clearing movement, not an ugly stud up slide tackle…

Fuck you, FA

Its a shit rule and you shouldnt be sent off winning the ball. Bottom line its the rule though and it was always getting upheld.

So Sanchez can stamp on the opponents, while Torreira can’t tackle. Sound logic.

Very costly 3 game suspension for us this one, agree with @Stroller harsh sending off but always one of those ones that’ll get upheld unfortunately.

Sorry, it is not unfortunate, but intentionally to penalize Arsenal.

A fucking intentional headbutt, no suspension
An unintentionally body contact (I won’t even call Torreira’s action was a tackle at all as he was just trying to sweep the ball away) got a 3 game suspension.

Fuck it.
The fuckest part is, they reviewed it and still upheld the suspension, maximum 3 game suspension.

Exactly.
I have no real problem with Torreira getting a red card because his studs were up and it could have injured the other player.
But if that was a red card then so was Kane pushing his head into the opposition player, the tackle on Leno where he took the full force of studs up, and the kick by Rose which was also dangerous.

The lack of consistency shown by the FA seems unfair.

The only thing that is consistent is the FA’s leniency towards spurs players.

They are consistent. They almost always back the call of the ref. Even when it’s bs.

Kept telling the barman in the casino last night that he looked like Lucas Torreira. He had no idea who I was talking about and didn’t seem to appreciate my comments all that much

Were you eating some fish burger?

So he needs to tighten up on passing. He seems nimble enough to evade tackles, I wonder how he loses possession more than Xhaka/Guen.
