Is this guy more of an attacking central player or someone who is going to sit in the middle of midfield?

Well, thatâs our main focus this summer. Pretty much all the plauers weâve been linked are moreso known for the creative/attacking attributes than their defensive ones.
I think our main focus should be CM
Weve got Xhaka who needs to leave, Mo who we tried to sell and Partey, Torreira who is on his way out and Lokonga who is a young back up,
We desperately need players there for me.
From what iâve read Paqueta is someone who is capable and willing to put in work on the back end and with defensive transitions. Same applies to tielemans who has racked up a decent amount tackles in midfield
I have concerns that the side would be too top heavy and cheap replication of Pepâs city but with much lesser processing power/personality in the dugout and talent on the pitch.
Itâs a very possession heavy style Arteta is trying to set up here which gives me concerns on top of the 11 lacking in real physically

First of all never seen him in a game, so you could take this with a pinch of salt.
At first I thought heâs basically an Odegaard type of player, so after signing Vieira, whoâs roughly close too, this didnât make sense.
But then I read a few comments about him, describing him as a box to box player, how he works hard without the ball in both directions, helps the defense etc. One guy specifically wrote how he sees Paqueta at his best as a box to box, how he apparently played under Rudi Garcia, even though he mainly plays as a playmaker atm (10/8; basically Odegaard).
Also, quite a few people wrote about him being the best player in Ligue 1, or at least behind Mbappe⊠Also heâs one the the main players in the NT. Doesnât have to mean a lot in the end, but it seems heâs a rising player atm, who still has some potiential to unlock, in the right circumstances.
Watching us last season, I was so frustrated so many times seeing Xhaka having so much space and freedom when he joins the attack, with the late runs, after Partey and Ode get all the attention on themselves⊠Just to produce nothing in the end. A guy like Paqueta (or SMS, but thatâs another topic) could do huge damage there. But he would also be an extra creative factor when Ode is not at his best.
After being very underwhelmed with this rumour at the start, mad tbh (I really though we donât need him), now I thing heâs a very interesting player for us.

Seeing lts of rumours on us being interested in Paqueta referencing RMC as the source but all I can find is this:

No it doesnât, it says Edu admires the player and weâre not really interested as we have players in that position already.
