Didnt look convincing today. I believe they’ll get lulled into a false of security like they did after the Frankfurt game.
Villa should have got something from the game but it’s hard when your keeper is giving away goals like they’re Halloween candy.
Don’t think Liverpool were anything special but no way did Villa deserve anything out of this game.
I’m still surprised they managed to get a win against City but that probably shows City’s own flaws.
This post has multiple meanings I love it.

Shocking!
Person who played his best football at Leverkusen playing off the left has played his best game at his new club off the left.
I’m expecting much better performances from them now they’ve reverted to last seasons system.
But it says so much about how bad their summer business was that both their full backs aren’t good enough and their mega money striker makes them worse.
Wirtz will probably start to find a bit more form now but still not sure why he’s a £120m player if his role in a squad is so specific that he can’t function anywhere else.
The other issue is Gakpo is one of their better performers and he also plays on the left. He can play up top too but then you have Ekitike and Isak there.
Their planning has been such a mess the past summer.
I do wonder how much they’ve handicapped themselves in future windows off of their spending this past summer.
I think Wirtz playing better at LW might have more to do with the competition than the role. Real have great players but they play with less intensity and organization than PL sides and that kind of match suits Wirtz. He played LW against Palace and was crap.
Whether him or Gakpo at LW, it also helps to have Robertson behind them. Slot appears to have finally conceded that Robertson remains his best LB by some distance.
I think its possible that Slot has found his best XI but it’ll be a fragile one because there are only a couple players he can swap into this side without disturbing the balance again and like us they’ve got a million matches to play over the next six months.
Cherki was a slam dunk transfer for them.
Wirtz would have fit us or City so much better.
Wirtz could have had the exact same role as Trossard has currently. And he could even play in midfield more effectively because he’s got others to account for his lack of physicality.
Easiest move for him though would have been Bayern.
Stop it ![]()
All this hype about Wirtz having his best performance is wild. I watched the entire game, he dropped a 5/10 by PL standards and he had all the time and space due to Real doing zero pressing.
I mean it’s not a high bar for him at the moment ![]()
Man is rattled - no way they win anything this season - FRAUDS
The Dutch were right about him being a whiny bitch.
Oh right, he only dislikes bad set pieces. Got it.
He seems very selective with his opinions about us because he never mentions all the dodgy decisions and injuries to key players that we get that have cost us points.
Is that actually real?? Almost looks ai?
However, set pieces are free for anyone to score howveerw they see for within the rules of the game. Rather than be moan your lack or opportunities, how about create them and get better at them.
The old saying, a poor workman always blames his tool. This cunt has always got an excuse.
Slot is making himself and the club look stupid with his constant moaning because the reason they won the title last season was because everything went their way, with very few injuries, as well as plenty of decisions and a lot of games where they scraped an undeserved win.
So because he’s outspent every other club in Europe and the team he’s building is his, the sniping at us through the media only highlights his petulance.
Slot knows set pieces are an important part of the game and the best players and most successful clubs use them to win games, so as Liverpool are the leading set piece scorers in the CL, perhaps he should just keep his mouth shut.
Dumb people - fans, managers, pundits, whoever - treat set piece goals like they’re sort of random events driven by luck whereas open play goals are reflective of skill. If Slot wants to think about it that way, then great.
Liverpool have nobody other than VVD that is particularly good at getting on the end of set pieces and they don’t have a single left footed set piece taker in the squad. Its not a surprise that they’re poor at them.
