Was referring to Liverpool being in the Europa League rather than talking about Thursday as a day in particular.
Gets in the way of my Sunday long runs. I end up having to listen on the radio or carry my phone with me. Not ideal.
Imagine if after all this we tank our CL group and next year is the season we finally win the EL.
I’d take it now if it was offered to me. Would rather win the Europa instead of making it to the last 16/quarters of the UCL tbh.

What makes you think we’d win EL anyways ? We’ve had 5 goes in the last 6 seasons and failed 5 times.

Back then, we were Europa quality — unfortunately bested by all of those clubs. Athletico and Chelsea were UCL level teams playing in Europa.
I agree with the last 3 seasons though; that’s been dreadful. It’s quite shameful how we couldn’t win it, but Chelsea and Man Utd did.
I think we’d do better in Europa if we fell into it next season, cause our squad would be so much stronger than they were this year.

They do it on purpose. Like with their “welcome…” tweets when a big team drops in from CL. They know people will give them the engagement. And this is no different. Liverpool fans are on the end of the fishing rod and rival fans are clicking it to see Liverpool fans annoyed

Of course EL will try to milk a big team being in their competition, just like they do to every new comer every year. Liverpool fans need to grow up and take it on the chin.

Good signing, wrapped it up quickly too.
Think physically the prem will suit him and probably the best fit for him club wise.
Paying the release clause for him is a bit risky imo. Great potential but far from a top player yet.
