Leeds vs Arsenal (PL) 0-4

Win.

It’s no surprise really. The players haven’t given 2 fucks in the last few games so it’s a bit hard to be positive atm.

That said, give me Ā£150k-Ā£300k/week like they’re getting and I’ll be the most positive person on planet earth for the rest of my life lol.

This is based on results and poor performance, but not sure that equates to how many fucks they give? cos from what I saw, the players did not look happy (aside from CL - where we qualified in 1st place)

You’d probably be making a post about doing better then commenting on it that you weren’t good enough.

I want to see a 4-4-1-1

Best back 4 available

Saka - Rice - Zubi - Trossard

Kai

Gyok

Agreed. I don’t think eating chilli for breakfast is weird.

Not so sure about that back 4, the rest seems fine. :pires:

Seriously though… When Kai was just arriwing here I considered him as an alternative to Ode primarily.

He was a 10 originally after all.

I have forgot about that honestly, watching him as a striker mostly for so long… And while he wasn’t the best option to play as that 8 next to Ode, especially at the very start, after playing as a striker at Chelsea (he did got better in midfield later on)… I’d say he could be a decent Ode alternative in some situations atm.

He’s maybe the smartest player in the squad atm, at least among the attackers. Really sees and understands the space brilliantly. He could be more decisive with his passing, and movement, from that positiom, than Ode. Or Eze, who is good on the ball, but just spends most of the time hidden in some nothing positions. No way that happens to Havertz.

Raya
White, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori
Zubimendi, Rice, Eze
Saka, Gyokeres, Martinelli

I’d prefer Havertz in the team instead of Zubimendi, but the likelihood of that occurring is slim.

I reckon Trossard, Odegaard, Zubimendi and Timber will all start due to midweek rest. Here’s hoping the team will retain the directness and dynamism that they displayed against Kairat.

What’s the rationale for this out of curiosity?

Similar midfield composition to midweek, with Rice playing as the holder instead of Norgaard. Eze would be tasked with a deeper role, with Havertz operating as a second striker. I want to get more potential goalscorers in the team, as I believe the default front 6 of Saka, Gyok, Trossard, Odegaard, Rice, Zubimendi has run its course.

There’s no real reason to expect this to happen given what we know, and introducing such a midfield in a tough away fixture would be a strange time to experiment.

It’s a good idea and I like it. It bothers me that the only chance we’ll have to see something like that is an insane injury crisis or a drastically bad run of results.

Otherwise Mikel will stick to what he trusts.

All you need to do is start Havertz in place of Gyok but he’s not ready to do it, so same front 6 for this one.

Once Havertz comes back the link up play will be there and we’ll look better for a bit. Gyok didn’t bring enough goals to make up for that, so we revert back to type for now.

All good news on the injury front. Clean bill of health bar Max Dowman.

Havertz fit to start, Calafiori as well. Will we see them both start?

We need Kai to do 60 and one of the others to do the last 30.

Would be nice to see Kai and Gyokeres link up again like they did midweek

The idea that Kai is going to unlock Gyokeres is going to die a swift death if Arteta plays that way again.

Kai needs to be up front in Gyokere’s position.

Would love to see Kai start instead of Ode. Brings so much more to the attacking play than Ode while also bringing in the things Ode excels at like pressing and stuff like that. Feel like Rice + Zubi are well equipped as a double pivot to compensate for letting Kai move forward from time to time.

To be fair, I hadn’t considered Kai insted of Ode. Would love to see Kai in the Ode position and Jesus up front, with the two of them interchanging.

On the Kai over Odegaard bandwagon. Have voted Arsenal win in hope not expectation.

Am on board with playing Kai instead of Ode, with Rice and Zubi being the double pivot. I don’t expect much from Kai but at least my BP will not shoot up seeing Ode playing like a pussy. He shouldn’t be a starter in this team if we are serious about winning the league.
