False 9 comfortably his best position imo, plays too narrow to be an out and out winger and doesn’t have enough explosiveness.

Watching the game back he wasn’t that bad. Definitely some frustrating passages of play in the first half but he cut most of that out in the second.
Out of possession he simply can’t play no 8, forget what he does in possession… off ball he is ordinary.

Yes. He was bad but he definitely grew into the game.
The Trosser is obviously nothing like Marti but with the way we are playing at the moment - opposition team forced back into their own half and us trying to break the block - would it not be more beneficial to have Leo on the LW?
He’s better with both feet, technically sound in tighter areas and could interchange nicely with Jesus. With Kai back in the team for Fulham, this just makes so much sense to me and Martinelli gets a break from the team.

If he didn’t score that goal I would have been all over this thread.
Didn’t think he had a good game and the way he took those first two chances Jesus set him up with was very poor.
Hoping that the goal will improve his confidence a bit.
