They really aren’t that much bigger! I can assure you that things get cosy lol
The bit between Highbury and Islington and Stratford was, but under a different name, but the rest wasn’t. So that might be a consideration now if we do apply to expand.
We were supposed to pay to expand Holloway Road as part of the planning permission and that never materialised.
Arsenal would need to demonstrate that the additional capacity can be accommodated on the transport network. I think that can be done relatively easily, but the club would probably have to offer up more mitigation measures to manage crowds exiting the stadium and managing the issues around Arsenal, Finsbury Park and Highbury and Islington stations.
In some respects, noise impacts may be more of an issue given the amount of properties built around the edge of the stadium. Also need the design to be good - stadium looks great and the Council wouldn’t accept proposals which diluted the quality of the ground.
The seats at the Emirates are incredible compared to Hampden. The only other stadium I regularly visit.
Its like a premier inn and the Savoy
If this is to cook the books like Chelsea have done I have no issue, other than that I don’t really see the need unless it benefits the accounting of StadCo LA
I regularly got to the Millennium Stadium, the seats at the Emirates are definitely on the bigger side for a stadium. Was at the Millennium Stadium on Tuesday and it’s fucking tight.
I can’t believe I took a babe in arms to Old Trafford once, and I’m about 6’5” and not the skinniest.
Shit. Was. Toight.
Ok I’m clearly outnumbered on the size of the seats…maybe its just down to Covid weight!
All the noise points towards them becoming tight fucks with the money again. About time we had owners to match the ambition of wanting to be the best.
FFP might be why our net spend in the last window was so low but another underwhelming window after a season, where the lack of quality upfront is so obvious, would be unacceptable.
If we sign no one and get dumped from all comps (you know it’s inevitable), then the banners are coming back out for these crooks.
We absolutely have to do some serious business in the summer if we don’t do it in January. I don’t think there will really be any excuses available if we go through the summer window and don’t address our issues up front.
He’s been backed very heavily to date, doesn’t it seem odd that the investment would suddenly stop despite the fact we’re in a healthier financial position?
I don’t believe KSE is at any kind of fault, if they are Arteta needs to break ranks and apply public pressure to them. His reputation is at play here.
There’s definitely more to the Edu story than we’re being told
As far as I’m concerned it’s this January or bust.
“Next summer” is what we were saying January of last year, yet here we are talking about next summer again.
Some Arsenal fans used to argue that Kroenkes would show ambition once they became full owners. This season has reinforced what many of us suspected about them.
If we don’t win a major trophy this season we’ll have huge problems in the summer with players getting poached, players leaving and players not good enough.
This was the year to do it and they fucked around showing us they have no intention of making us title winners.

Josh is back in town for the Spurs
The OG has spoken. Draxler to Arsenal?
Yann M’Vila, here we go.
I always felt it was quite clear we did a lot of gambling in the summer with regards to thinking we’d still score goals even without signing a striker / LW.
It’s proven to be a bad decision and we need to rectify it as soon as possible
They wanted a very specific type of striker. It wasn’t available. They kicked it a year
Makes no sense without further clarification. What are the odds this very type of striker emerges next summer? ITK babble
I honestly think the performances and production of Havertz at CF went to Arteta’s head. There was no plan to shift Jesus
Was thinking more Yoann Gourcuff
