Kieran Tierney

Robbo is a great backup to Tierney

None of the others come close to them

@JimWhite @kierantierney1 @Arsenal @andrewrobertso5 @LFC @premierleague Robertson by a country mile. Followed by Chilwell, Digne, Reguillon, Shaw and many others. One good game vs West Brom doesn’t propel you to ā€œbest left back in the leagueā€ status. Sure, he’s certainly got what it takes but he needs to perform consistently at that level.

Robertson hasn’t been as good as in previous seasons and as for ā€œmany others,ā€ being better and ā€œone good game against West Brom,ā€ that’s nonsense.

Tierney has been our most consistent player and his performances have only been spoiled by being surrounded by a team in poor form.

Tbf he’s been rinsed in a couple of games. Wolves wasn’t great but he never hides.

Oh No?

We love it when it snows here haha the country goes nuts for it :joy::joy:

Finally some proper proper captain material. Can’t wait to see the armband on his hand and to finally have a proper captain. After fucking Adams I guess… None after were true captain material in my eyes (yes, not even Vieira if I’m totally honest).
Although I think it may be a bit too early to give him the capitancy after his first proper season here. Maybe next year. :+1:

Let’s hope we don’t fuck up with his contract renewal the way we did with Ashley.

You want to captain him after one good game?

:xhaka:

Come on @Pires
I think you’ve had one too many drinky-poos.

There’s NO WAY Tierney makes a better captain than Vieira.

Saying Vieira wasn’t a good captain is a bold statement

Agree…Vieira was a very good captain…

Probably something to do with English-speaking captains.

It’s why Keane was kinda overrated as captain of Manchester United too. He was effectively forced out by the end of his tenure.

I really want to but yeah we just have to wait a couple of season.
He has all the qualities of a proper captain.

Not really. I felt he was captain material before we even signed him… Looking at the clips and reading Celtic fans comments. And he just proved everything was true since his first game here.

As I said, I think it’s still probably to early to put that burden on him, I wouldn’t do that, although looking at the current squad he could be the captain easily. If he stays at the club and stays fit he’s the future captain obviously.

He was some kind of leader on the pitch, a brilliant presence on the pitch to have… But idk, always felt some spark in his eyes, like he puts his career in front of the club. And that was true.

Henry also… I said earlier, no other player, I saw, played with the same amount passion for this club… but still, as a character I just didn’t see him as an ideal captain material. We could go long about this.

1 good game all season lol, he has had a couple of poor games but the majority have been good with a few excellent.

If we have one positive out of the season it’s probably the our best 3 players have been Tierney, Gabriel and Saka who are 23, 22 & 19.

I’m not sure if he’s the best LB in the league yet, but I meant what I said yesterday at his age and potential growth to come I wouldn’t swap him for any LB in the league.

I’m the same in thinking hes one of our best players.

But hes no where near Robertson yet, that guy has been tearing the league and champions league up for like 3 years now. Its a non-contest currently.

Yeah Robbo is great and has numerous runs on the board I can’t disagree with that.

I just think given Tierney’s age he has a lot more growth as a player to come, hopefully I’m not wrong.

No way, he was captain from 97-03 and 34 when he was forced out even then it was because he made Ferguson shit himself. Gary Neville said everyone worked harder in training because of how hard Keane worked. Keane got down to a ridiculously low body fat and both of them claim they won the most because they worked the hardest in training

Keane was probably the best and the most influential captain I saw. A huge presence on the pitch. Apparently off it too.
Absolutely hated him when he was at United and felt huge relief when it was clear he was about to leave.

Keane was awesome, I’ll agree…But for me Tony Adams was the BEST captain I have ever seen…He came to it as a very young man, and was extremely influential straight away…He came into a team which had many experienced players, and took over immediately…Very very impressive…

Bobby Moore was a great captain, but he had the backing of his players because of what he was, but Tony was new to everybody, and he was in charge from the first minute…That takes some doing…
