Kieran Tierney

Doesn’t he play as a left centre back for Scotland?

Lol, can anyone name one genuinely standout Tierney performance at Arsenal from the seasons starting in 2021 and onwards?

We didn’t task him to invert till after the World Cup in December of 2022 and that project didn’t even last. When he was called upon later on he was doing his traditional fullback role.

True, did not recall he played invert FB at all.

He did eventually. He played there in that mid-season break and then we tried him there against West Ham at home and Brighton away if I recall correctly but then we then dropped that idea.

His subsequent cameos were all him doing his traditional fullback thing. I remember he started at the Etihad too in the FA Cup after we signed Trossard and he actually looked pretty good in that game.
Made me really hopeful he will turn out useful but when he started against West Ham away amd Brighton at home(insane luck) he didn’t look particularly good.

His Brighton performance really stuck out to me. He looked like a lost child out there.

He does but still attacks down the wings if someone is covering the LCB

wasn’t he fine defensively and then he was injured for a few months and came back and wasn’t as good for whatever reason. or did I make that up.

Yep, he used to great defensively for us. He played in that overlapping LCB for us too.

Think he’d be fine if he actually got a run of games, just can’t play the Zinky role.

Anyone know how he’s actually done at sociedad? Saw they’ve been on a shit run recently.

Got injured soon after he signed for them for about 2 months and he returned in December.

One of the reasons we shat the bed last season during the run in. Still have nightmares about his hospital touches to this day. Terrible player.

Just went off injured for sociedad (whilst I was doing abit of zubamendi scouting)

The dude people wanted us to recall btw…

Swear this thread only gets bumped when he’s injured

I imagine we will pay his contract up and Rodgers will take him back at Celtic

I don’t care if we sell him for peanuts, we better make them make three bids and cause a fuss over the structure of the deal.

He’s basically worth zero. Shame.

Another player who will inevitably leave the club for nothing. Nobody’s fault here, but I don’t recall him being so injury prone at Celtic.

Admittedly, I haven’t watched him play more than 2 occasions to actually know

Such a shame that a likeable & quite talented player is just gonna fade away.
He once looked like a Lahm esque fullback

Nah…

Lahm-esque? When was this?!

Could imagine Newcastle, Liverpool or Villa would have been injured in Tierney if circumstances were different. His style suits them but sadly not us.
