I thought he went alright. Seemed most of the time he was getting beaten was when City were overloading that side with Mahrez, Cancelo and Cuntnardo Silva all inter-playing around him.
He’s never played well versus Bernardo or Mahrez. Those left footed wingers with low centre of gravity seem to leave Tierney a little confused.

He’s not actually that good and should really be someone we look to upgrade this summer.
Just seems like he has really good games and really shit ones and there’s not a whole lot in between.
Pretty harsh to say but he looks like the weak link in our best back 4 at the moment.
He certainly lost that bit of fire he had in previous seasons I feel.
Looked really good for them. On loan from Boro.
He schooled our whole left side, LCB and LCM included.
I’ve not been that impressed with him since he arrived. Seems quite weak in one on ones and I see him twisted and turned too easily.
His forward play can be nice when he’s not just spamming repetitive passes into the box.
Not a strong defender, very injury prone (so far) and his attacking contribution is not so high that you can overlook his weakness at the back

He is so passive nowadays it’s beyond annoying.

For one reason or another he hasn’t pushed on, to be the starting LB here we need to be seeing improvement even if only incremental not regression.
I’m not overly worried but he needs to step it up from next season.
