Kepa Arrizabalaga (13)

To be fair none of those young boys ever had a chance. In 08/09 our midfield players consisted solely of under-23 players, until we signed Arshavin, they had nobody to lift themselves up to and post-08/09 Wenger went 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 and never really could set up us properly - midfielders were always exposed.

I like Keppa already…quality addition! And seems like a nice guy too. Can see him fitting into the squad well.

Did he mistake Julio Baptista for Marcos Senna?

Miguel…the fuck he guessed Miguel

As if he said Ignasi Miquel

I needed a Julio Pleguezuelo and I’d be on my feet

Fran Merida is even more impressive. Remember when that guy was the next “Reyes”?

He scored a wonder goal, I remember that

Yes against Liverpool in the Carling cup and then Insua scored a very good goal too for Liverpool.

Insua, haven’t hear of that guy in a while.:rofl:

Next Reyes? More like next Fabregas

Yeah, he was also likened to both. Fabregas because of Barca and Reyes because he was left footed(and scored a similar first goal).

In hindsight, what ridiculous comparisons. Reminds me Ceballos and fucking Cazorla. Fucking hell…

I genuinely don’t ever recall a comparison being made between Merida and Reyes. It was always Fabregas
