We need to stop using him in midfield

Goal and an assist in his last two. Think he should start.

Maybe go 4-4-2 for our league games. Rice and Zubi in the middle, Havertz as support striker but tracking back when needed. He’s quality and a player who single-handedly won Chelsea their last ever big European trophy.

Havertz can have a big influence on the outcome of our season still.

What a touch and the finish. One of his finest goals here.

Would be really nice if he could stay fit…

Fantastic first touch to control the ball from Martinelli. Well taken goal.

Unreal touch

Ze clutch

That touch had to be perfect in order to give him a scoring chance, excellent technique. That is a top goal.

Who was screaming that? It was picked up on the prime commentary but it wasn’t the voice of the prime comm or co comm :joy:

Heard it too  desperate cries

Great movement, great composure, great finish. Now do this 25 times a season in all competitions.

I agree, but I fail to see which other midfielder would have made that run from midfield to score. Odegaard wouldn’t have. Maybe Merino?

Odegaard would have ran to the half way line to be ready for the ball recovery. I agree with Metino being the other player we have to make the line breaking run.

Great touch, literally no margain for error there in a tight spot. Props to Martinelli for the pass as well.

Needs to start the majority of the remaining games. His pressing in midfield is not great, he is frustrating, BUT he is physical and is a goal threat

That was a World Class moment by Kai. Simply sublime.

He’s a world class player in my opinion. His reading of the game is sublime but I just don’t think we’ve had the ideal role for him.

His best games seem to be when he’s playing a Bergkamp role of being the creative link between midfield and attack. He needs two midfielders behind him and a striker ahead of him. Rather than sell him, I’d like Arteta to build the attack around him with Eze being his understudy.

Odegaard can fight for a place deeper in midfield. That’s where he seems to end-up when he plays anyway.
