Kai Havertz (29)

I prefer Havertz a bit more central. The strategy was clearly to have him to the right side of the pitch, but left us a little light centrally.

This is the same position heā€™s been playing since Odegaard got injured.
You can check the average positions in our recent matches, he always leans on that right hand side.

Havertz may be playing from the right but he was playing much too wide for my liking and it made him less threatening.

vs Soton

Think it was to allow more protection for Partey and it worked as Diaz was quite the whole game.

He did have one moment tbf where he passed everyone he found and went 1v1 with Raya(although at tight angle). He nutmegged Partey in the process and got past White like he was a cone.

Still, heā€™s usually a far bigger threat. I remember the game at Anfield against City. He tore those City pricks apart. He made Rodri look like a clown on a couple of occasions.

Not convinced heā€™s fit.

Even before he blew up this year, his effort off the ball and physicality was top notch.

I havenā€™t seen that since the Bournemouth game. In fact, heā€™s looked really weak, sluggish in his movement and very sloppy on the ball.

This guy is not a league winning striker. He is way too wasteful when it comes to clear cut chances. He misses at least one a game

Who was it that got mad in the match thread for Odegaard coming on to replace Havertz in stoppage time?

Kai was bleeding like a pig, a crimson mask that even Flair would be proud of.

If we donā€™t use that head cut as an excuse to keep him back, what are we even doing?
Germany have already qualified to the next stage of Nations League.

Such a shithouser.
Didnā€™t particularly shine individually but he was doing a lot of the dirty work rattling their defenders and got their best one carded very early on.
Such a shame he didnā€™t grab that late winner against Chelsea. He would be showing RVP/Adebayor level of pettiness.

Top player.

Still hasnā€™t recaptured his form from earlier in the season but itā€™s good that he can have this somewhat silent performances and still come away with a goal.

Didnā€™t see the game, but my man

Excellent finish on his goal today, it looked like he was going to round the keeper and then he just slotted it instead.

Up to 9 goals in 19 games now. 20 is a very realistic possibility.

Iā€™d love to show that to my Chelsea mates but theyā€™d just say heā€™s got one more CL :smiling_face_with_tear:
