Jurrien Timber (12)

This guy needs some time off. Looks physically and mentally exhausted. I’d start White against Spurs and give Timber a week and a half to get ready for Chelsea and perhaps even start White in that game if he plays well against Spurs. Hopefully get the Saka-White partnership on the right side back.

Watched a TikTok and wow he was bad last night its so unfortunate we dont have another RB isn’t it Mikel?

Was bro drunk last night?!

I think he was hurt for most of this match. No clue why Arteta didn’t take him off.

He has been so consistent this season, but had a shocker last night. Same as Raya!

When he lobbed that ball out of play at 19 seconds under no pressure, that should have been the final straw. wtf is Mikel Arteta watching for Timber to survive 90 mins

Such a shame we don’t have some reliable alternatives for him so he has to be pushed to play all the time, even while tired…

Timber, dead wood? Clearly burnt out. Play Mosquerra or Lewis Skelly if White isn’t fit.

Why have we done this to Timber and Zubi, two of our best performers in the first half of the season?

Lost possession couple of times early into the game and failed to find Zubi who was in a good position to put it across the box. Timber did get an assist though and came off just after 2nd half so much needed rest.

Would like Ben White playing a lot more (assuming he’s not inured).

Mikel please drop him he’s a great lad but he’s cooked right now. Let him rest

The difference when Mosquera came on was like night and day.

Mosquera was so strong, so quick and looked so much more focused.
Genuinely no diss on Timber, for my money he’s the best RB in the world but he’s clearly fatigued, both physicallt and mentally.

Desperately needs a break.

He will have 7 days before we play our next game. Feet up until Wednesday at least I’d say

It is so obvious that Timber needs a rest. He doesn’t look right at the moment.

Nice words from Danny Murphy

Timber is one of the best attacking right-backs in the Premier League, if not the world, and I have seen him cause many teams problems with the way he mixes his runs up - sometimes he supports, sometimes he overlaps and he can make runs inside too. He is an intelligent footballer.

Saka has had a few people question him recently, but against Spurs he was back on it and back to his confident best.

With the understanding those two have got, it was always going to be difficult to stop them down Arsenal’s right but it was even harder for Spurs because they were reactive rather than proactive in dealing with the danger.

I quite liked the moment a few minutes before he scored where the crowd was getting antsy and he told them to calm down, because he then proceeded to deliver. Sometimes it can be a bit irritating when players focus on the crowd like that but it was nice to see one of our players tell everyone to settle down and then make good on it straight away.

YES JURRIEN

A reminder of how absolutely top, top class he is.

Has looked fatigued in the past few weeks. His performances were bland by his standards but still dependable.

The goal was the icing but he was rock solid and repeatedly showed what a technically proficient, all round high IQ footballer he is.
