Uncharacteristically poor game for him. Shouldāve done better for the goal we conceded and he shouldāve let Gyokeres head the ball in the final chance.
Donāt now how he would have known Gyok was lurking beside him for a free header. Frustrating, but hard to fault him for going for the ball in that situation.

Bit harsh to criticize him for that but still he should have some awareness that the main striker will be in the box somewhere.
Iād like to think Gyokeres gave him a shout. If not, thatās awful from Gyokeres.

Correct. We donāt know if he was called off there. Given the normal way and great decisions he makes, I donāt think he was.
The lack of continuity at the back hurt all of the defenders. Mosq and Piero werenāt terrible by any stretch, but neither are the calming influence of Saliba or Gabs back there. Just glad that they were able to defend and not get sent off after that playing on a yellow for so long.
Just casually slots in at CB, no problem. This guy is so good, we are so lucky to have him.

Itās very funny to think United were linked with him when we were linked with Lisandro and then they beat us to Lisandro, didnāt sign Timber and Lisandro now spends most of his time injured.

Jurrien āVersatileā Timber.. thatās his new name. Can play anywhere across the backline without issue.
IIRC didnāt Ajax price United out of a move, they asked for something around Ā£45m?
We then got him a year later for Ā£35m. Btw I think Lisandro is a good player but we definitely got the better Ajax defender. No doubt.
For the price paid, we may look back at Timber as the best value Arteta transfer. Heās the best RB in the league and one of the best in the world since last season.
Incredible player and heās bounced back amazingly from the ACL. Timber + Saka is amongst the most brilliant right sides in the world, if not the best in terms of attacking / defensive balance.

Timber could have helped win us the league in his first season had he not suffered that injury at the start of the season! Has to be regarded as one of our best signings, although that list is getting long now!
Next to Rice the only decent player on the pitch against Villa.
White, Saka and Odegaard definitely in there too.
