Not sure any ETH pull is enough to sway people this year though when you look at the respective states of each club.

Sure a slight concern as the player may have some stupid bond but even trying to objectively looking at the clubs…Arsenal are clearly better placed right now. A league cup doesn’t change that.

Without CL I’d say they had no chance.

Yea but they have CL and they have a coach he used to play for and not surprisingly once this coach left, Ajax collapsed. He might trust ETH simply because he knows him. And United might not be a noble club like ourselves, but they’re still one of the most famous clubs worldwide and that can pull any player.

Would be a pity if we miss out on Timber. I’d like to see a Dutch and Ajax player ar Arsenal again.

Also Varane is a beast so Timber has the same game time prospects at either club.

Assuming we leave Malen out of this as he was only a youth player who never appeared for the senior squad, that’d be van Persie as the last Dutchman and Vermaelen as the last signing made from Ajax/time we signed a player who had previously played for Ajax at some point?

Van Persie was a player coming from arch rivals Feyenoord, despite that, he is one of my favourite players, thanks to his time at Arsenal.

Bergkamp and Overmars both are Ajax players through and through and are the reason I started following Arsenal as a teenager.

You can imagine, if Timber joins Arsenal. You will have another headache to deal with. As Timber will be to me what Ozil is to @ronniec - I won’t tolerate any negative comment about him even if it is warranted :xhaka2:
