Jorginho

He’s been our best signing from Chelsea by a mile.

A very good squad player for us and could be relied upon to start when needed

To save people a click, we may save some money as Flamengo want Jorginho ahead of the Club World Cup, which starts before(mid June) his contract expires(end of June).

A transfer window will be exclusively open to CWC participants in early June to sort these sort of deals out.

Hope we can convince him to stay another season.

You think he will be ready for PSG? We will need him man

I will feel very confident with him playing. Worried without.

Jorginho and Partey resigning would be excellent news

Wouldn’t be against it. Jorginho is still a useful player. It would have to lead to big money being invested in the attack though.

What’s the point of signing Zubimendi if we extend Jorginho and Partey?

I believe Jorginho is very close to being done on a highest level. I hope the club doesn’t renew him. He was always a stop gap and we should find a long term replacement now.

If we’re extending Jorg and Partey, it means no Zubimendi imo

Jorgihno and Partey, we should only keep one, and give the opportunity to the new signing, or MLS

There wouldn’t be a point to be honest. Partey, Jorginho, Rice and Zubimendi would be overkill.

If Jorginho is signing on to train as a coach he will hardly play. His playing role will be an add on.

You know Partey isn’t staying fit for 2 whole seasons in a row.

He’ll be joining Calafiori, Tomiyasu and Jesus in the medical room lol, but will somehow be fit enough to play pointless international games for Ghana.

If we can keep one, it would give us strength and depth in our midfield and allow us to focus on spending big on our attack in the summer.

I thought we wanted to keep them?

I’m all for keeping players that are worth keeping when it means we don’t then have such glaring gaps in the team meaning signing replacements that take up some of whatever budget we have.

Personally don’t think we should renew Jorginho. I would prefer we use his wages to invest in someone new.

If we extend Partey (which I would not be opposed to), Rice can always play the holding role if needed. MLS looks like he could cover in that position too.

Why not?

Atletico:
17/18 - 50 games all comps
18/19 - 43 games all comps
19/20 - 46 games all comps

Arsenal
20/21 - 36 games all comps (incl 3 games for atleti)
21/22 - 26 games all comps
22/23 - 40 games all comps
23/24 - 16 games all comps (stupid gender reveal)
24/25 - 47 games all comps and counting

We only need 20-30 games from him if we sign another midfielder and with less playing time in theory he’d be at even less risk of another injury.

If you’re being very specific about him being available for near enough every single game then fine, but most players will have an injury at some point during a season.
