Simple.
75% of the posts are me kvetching about how much I dislike Jorghino and also acknowledging he’s been fine to good for us.
The other 25% is nuanced discussion about how he can help us control and sometimes shut down matches.

So not 95% “Chelsea prick” then.
I am good friends with a Chelsea fan, as people know. LOL @Aussiegooner But actually, he is a proper fan. His dad supported Chelsea when he was a kid too. So not glory hunter. And also, he is an actual football and sport fan, he knows everything.
Anyway, my point is, I watch a lot of matches in the pub with mates, including him, and he constantly says stuff like “Jorginho never did that for us” and then laughs. So yeah, in conclusion, Jorginho can help us control stuff when we want to take a shit penalty.
Jorginho is normally very good at keeping things simple and ticking play over. Great 3rd choice DM to have, just not as transformative as having someone like Partey in the side.
Generous. I’ve moved him to 4th choice now.
Does he mean costing the team two points against Spurs?
Jorginho used to be so good at suffocating the opposition. Nowadays, he just gifts them opportunities in dangerous areas, he did it again last night with a misplaced pass.
We need a reliable back up to Rice in that #6. Partey is also cooked.
If Havertz is deployed as an #9, then we likely need a Tonali type as an #8. Or maybe Tomiyasu can play there once Timber is back to full fitness.
Yeah. Against us.
Lovely ball for Saka this morning.
Tbh I’d be content with him being given a 1 or 2 year deal post this season to stay as backup to Rice.
Solid player
Experience
Durable
He’s been a great signing tbh.
A solid and dependable midfielder
I think it’s a good time to part ways personally.
Imo, none of Cedric, Elneny, Jorginho and Partey should stay beyond this season.
I think by next year we should have enough experience in the team. Dudes like Rice, Odegaard, Jesus, Zinchenko, Gabriel among others should be the linchpins of the side.
Btw, this will mean no players over 30 for Arsenal. Can’t recall the last time that was the case here. I can’t even name a current side in the PL that can say that either.
I agree regarding Cedric and Elneny, + Partey reluctantly ae he’s a great player but his body is no good.
But should we get rid of Jorginho also we’ll need to make 2 CM signings which isn’t easy. We’ll need quality cover for Rice + the no 8 we so desperately lack.
See, I would like us to start filling some positions with U23 players again.
We’re in a great spot at the minute where our brand is at the highest it’s been in quite a while.
Great opportunity to poach some of the world’s best talents. Madrid, City, Bayern and Barca have been doing that for some time.
Even if it doesn’t work some of those talents have enough credit in the bank that they can still be moved on for a minimal loss or even profit.
A solid and dependable midfielder, Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, also known as Jorginho, is the Honda Civic of footballers. In this essay I will
and a real STRIKER, guaranteed to score 30+ a season
experience is gold, and Jorginho is still doing good.
I don’t care if he is 40.
Jorginho is a very good midfielder, he’s just not Partey. If we were to sign say Zubimendi, Jorginho would be fantastic back up.
I’d probably offer him a year extention. He could still atart at a lot of top teams so he might look to move back to Italy or even Barcelona if their interest was genuine.
Keep them all, even big Mo.
Sign a young midfielder (don’t care which role - depends on long term rice plan) and let them bed in for a year before Jorgi and Thomas departey.
@MO_OA49 ain’t going nowhere
Jorginho is fine for probably another 4 years even, so long as we don’t have to rely on him to start more than a couple of games in a row.
He was signed as back up and as long as he remains that it’ll be grand.
Honestly feels pointless to look at getting rid of him, our midfield is starting to become an issue so there’s no point weakening our depth.
Keep him for a couple more years and add quality around him, he has shown he can be a useful piece throughout a season.
