Jorginho

Agreed.

Yep, uphill battle for this guy. Hopefully a win against Brentford and City calms people down.

Villa away is a free hit though. Emery and his staff are already cooking a master plan for that day.

Villa away is the easiest game of the lot.

Leicester just spanked them after trailing twice. Emery will be the third best Spanish coach on the touch line that day.

Also gave the ball away which was concerning because he’s supposed to be so secure w the ball.

Not at fault for the goal but he didn’t really do anything to change the game and that’s the whole reason he’s here. Thought we actually looked most likely to score right before the subs.

I’d have been surprised if he came in instantly and was on a frequency with his new team mates. He tried to get on the ball but his passing was off. He gets a pass from me today but that will change if he plays like this in his next appearance.

Partey and Xhaka were getting the run around for most of the first half after the first 15 minutes.

For any other player I’d agree but Arteta calls the role he had Jorginho play, The Jorginho Role.

Tbh if anything, he is here for us to be able to play much the same way, otherwise we probably would have signed someone like Onana.

That’s a fair point. However, today a 7/10 performance from him would’ve changed the game cos all other mids were playing at about a 3 and couldn’t keep the ball.

Can’t blame anything on him today but would’ve liked to see more impact.

Well, he can’t do much in The Jorginho role if every single teammate of his is having a bad game, can he?

Come on now, let’s cut him some slack. Whole team was second bested today.

Not sure he can be singled out having played only 30 minutes for us and not being responsible for the goal we conceded.

Yeah I’ll have to admit I hate Chelsea so it’ll be hard for me to warm to Jorginho. The only way I can really see myself doing it is if he plays a role in us winning the league title. If we fail to win it, you’ll know we’ll have to put up with agent Jorginho memes of how he joined us 5 points clear with a game in hand but the rent boy assured Arsenal’s lengthy title drought continued.

For me if we don’t win the title in the next 4 months, the short term solution of Jorginho will be a great waste of time.

We have an amazing first half of season and will not be panic or over-react for just a game, but I definitely will whine if we collapse in the second half of season because of insufficient reinforcement.

I like the Trossard deal so far, but the midfield has more concern than anything else.
Never thought Jorginho was our solution in any way.

Hope Edu proved me wrong (again); otherwise, he is doing a not so good job in this transfer window.

I’m absolutely not blaming him for the loss. Everyone was bad but he was also bad so, no, I’m not cutting him any slack.

Really just a stopgap and not really a strengthening signing.

Trossard I think is equal to or a maybe a bit better than Martinelli so a slight improvement there.

Kiwior…jury’s out but I get the feeling this is another Pablo Mari type signing. Low risk, potential high reward.

Idk that you can equate the two. Pablo Mari got bombed out of City and only found success in Brazil.

Suddenly this guy has become very important for us.

Show us your best tonight, George.

The abuse he and edu are about to get…

He’ll only get it if he plays poorly.

Edit: Actually you’re right. I plan on talking shit about him unless he turns in a 10/10.
