He’s past his best now but the guy has won some important silverware and was integral in all. Was arguably the key of one of the best Serie A sides in recent years with Napoli under Sarri.
He can still do a job. We’re not signing him from China or Saudi Arabia As far as I’m concerned he’s lightyears ahead of Elneny and Lokonga.
Tbh this is a decent deal for us. Plays the role we need cover for and already playing in the prem. Seemingly shouldn’t affect our summer business too much either.
Exactly I understand it’s a bit of a come down from other players we’ve been linked with and he’s past his best. The main problem is people will see him as another Chelsea has been but it’s still preferable to Lokonga or nobody.
Yeah he was and everyone thought it was ridiculous. Don’t want Chelsea’s garbage taking up space here for more than six months. I hate everything about this move if we keep him here on a long term deal.
@Jesseviolin People will see him as a Chelsea reject because that’s exactly what he is and it would help Chelsea cook their books further while being a throwback to some of the dumbshit contracts we used to hand out. Cedric, David Luiz, Mari and now this fucking dingleberry.
the only way I would be happy with this is if Partey actually manages to play most games, we spend properly in the summer on a dm and Jorginho doesn’t take pens
Maybe it’s a master plan by Arteta to bring him in, then only play him in 4 games and leave him out of the squad on the last day for what would be his 5th match.
Come February, Arsenal will be 5 points above City with a game in hand.
We used the January transfer window to sign 3 players that provide us better depth and are all upgrades on our existing cover:
There’s a big difference to Arsenal signing Jorginho as cover while we are 5 points clear at the top of the league than the Arsenal that signed Willian when we were shit.
All this negativity is gonna bring BigWeng back I can see it
In no way am I comparing the two players but Pirlo was an AC cast off, who did alright at Juve. I know we’ve been stung by William and to less of an extent Cech. I think this move makes sense - he plays as a six and will want to win an elusive league title.
