I wouldn’t abuse it on an industrial scale like Chelsea with random loans to feeder clubs. At the moment out loan system is purely designed to temporarily get rid of deadwood.
I think many players would take a pay increase, and remaining at the club they’ve positively developed at with a view to coming to Arsenal two years down the line.

Pretty confident we get Garcia given the amount of background work we have done on this.
It’s been known the Cana has had his (Garcia) lunch expensed by the club at the Pret in the service station up the road too. Small things go a long way with these transfers.

It does seem strange that Arteta has such an obsession with changing GK’s while the lack of a decent striker has gone almost unnoticed.

Is he an improvement on Raya? I understand that Raya’s been suspect at times, but if we are gonna change him can we do it after all our key positions are sorted? 
We need a goalkeeper anyway btw. Not only Neto is awful but he’s leaving in the summer.
Both of our PL rivals have two very good keepers. This is the bare minimum.
Since we have to sign a goalkeeper, we might as well sign a good one. Dude has a €30m release clause.

I think the creative side of our team is far more important than getting a GK who’ll barely play. But if the money’s there and we can get everyone we need, then I’m not complaining lol.

Long term it may make great sense to throw an extra 10m at the keeper spot now if we think he’ll be that good. As GC said we need one anyway.
It’s not like going out of our way to spend 40m on merino who we didn’t need at all, instead of a striker.
For optics it would probably be better to sort this deal after signing a forward but I’m not gonna get fussy on that unless we don’t sign an attacker.

We’ve got plenty of money and this guy will be on shit wages I’m sure. Over the contract it’s probably no different than signing an experienced backup GK from the PL for 10-15m and giving them the wages they’d expect.
There’s so little room for error in the PL I don’t want to lose another title because Raya pulls a hammy and misses a month.

especially now that £30m in the EPL can barely get you a youth talent with no minutes under his name. The same people that are saying now ‘he will be a waste of money we need attackers’ will be the same people that bitch ‘Garcia was only £25-30m and leaving the GK position like this (anything happening to Raya) is complete negligence and Arteta has screwed our season again.’

You’d imagine there’s a number of clubs circling considering how well he’s been playing
Interesting to see where he does end up because he’d walk into many a starting spot I’m sure whereas it wouldn’t necessarily be the case here
