Andy Murray transferred out of Australia, if that counts

Halfway into the window. It’s been dreadful.

It’s been as expected. Most deals will happen on the last day.

I guess just a loan in the end.

No news is good news imo

Gary Cahill is coming

I suppose the only good thing about this transfer window is, at least we won’t have to hear Wenger and Gazidis droning on about how we’re not afraid to spend and how we are always looking at getting world class players, and then after we walk away empty handed we won’t have to hear the well worn line of “we tried.”

Saying that, Emery isn’t not even bothering to disguise the fact we’re not going to try anyway.

I hate to be so negative, but after the last couple of games I don’t see how we finish top 4, 6th is a more realistic possibility. The only way we get into CL is if we win EL.

And everyone should read the article sevchanko posted. It explains the situation.

no it doesn’t. it doesn’t explain anything and the reasoning is poor. I’ve explained my arguments elsewhere.

We have the Europa League specialist :unai:

Most of the Arsenal fans that are trying to be positive are hanging their hat on Emery’s fantastic Europa League record, the reaction shall be interesting when we get tossed from that competition.

When? Change that to if before Mav sees :eyes:

Nah we’ll just trigger him some more, if by somehow we win the Europa League then Mav can have his time to shine and rip shreds through my choice of words.

You are the best person to read if someone wants to kill himself. Not even Guardiola would make you happy.

Boring and depressing.

Think Napoli will win the the Europa, Carletto will do the business.

Arsenal are getting relegated to the shit League, instead :xhaka:

Yes, it does. It’s not FFP that’s causing the problem, it’s Short Term Cost Control regs that are causing the problem. You can’t increase your wage bill more than 7m a year. Ozil’s raise already surpassed 7m… So we would have to dump players on high wages. They use matchday, player sales, and commercial revenue to increase this. So, could he do something like Mansour is doing at City? Maybe… but:

A., It wouldn’t make a bit of difference in the short term. And…

B. All of his corporations are US based and what are the laws about that here? Exchange rate?

It’s not as easy as “pumping cash” into it. Maybe we shouldn’t have paid Ozil insane wages… 20/20 hindsight and all that.
