It may be co-incidence but my career was on the up until I had an uncomfortable lunch with Israeli lawyers and had what I felt was a good-faith debate about what was happening in Gaza. “There are no problems in Israel, life is great, you should come” they said. I declined the offer. Two weeks later I was made redundant. Just me, out of nearly 1,000 staff. Not sus at all.

Think that ‘harmless conversation’ might have done it. I’m not informed politically, but it’s very difficult to see where Israel is acting correctly in any of this.
