I wanted to mention that the other day.
This run as a striker could actually help Merino as a midfielder too.
Itās mostly confidence thing, but it will also help him gel with the team too, get used to the pace etc.
But the biggest thing is the confidence surely. He knows heās finally contributing to the team significantly and thatās something essential for every player.
I simply refuse to belive heās as crap and average as a midfielder as he has show for most of the time so far. Thereās surely a decent midfielder in him judging by everything heās done at Sociedad.
