Thoughts on the penalty shout?
From one angle you can clearly see that Konate got the ball first.
Can you please share that?
Yeah, why is the guy not going for the ball getting the advantage of the situation?
Not from any angle Iâve seenâŚ
They showed it on MotD2
Touching the ball is one thingâŚ
Does it mean as long as you touch the ball you can foul a player or do whatever it takes?
For what itâs worth and now Iâve had time to calm down, hereâs the view of an ex-referee. For what itâs worth.
Penalty Under current rules, I donât feel it was a penalty. That was the one thing I agreed with. Depending on what angle you saw it either looked like the ball was played and it was a successful tackle or a Martinelli sandwich. Too borderline to favour the attacking team.
Dick Van Dyke - Yellow and a final warning. Though I understand the debate for a red as they have been given for much less.
Jota - Should have been sent off. 7 fouls without a card. Shocking.
Merino Goal - The commentary team called it within a minute, PGMOL need to explain the delay.
Kiwior - Not a foul. Ref in perfect position. If he allows play to continue itâs either because the opposition have an advantage or if youâre not convinced it was a foul. The correct thing to do if he wasnât sure would have been to allow play to continue then let VAR look at it. Hopeless incompetence.
Corner that we didnât get - Suspicious, at this point Iâm seeing the officials acting in bad faith. It was such an obvious call.
Jota didnât play? Are you talking about Nunez? He did get card late in the game.
from deep down, you know it would be a penalty if Saliba and Gabriel gave any attacker a sandwichâŚ
we all know, just refuse to admit
I think Dermot is on the wind-up

Itâs not a coincidence that we get same officials on rinse and repeat
never shy of conflict of interest, and people still want more evidence to show they are rigged.
theyâre celebrities now and theyâre not even trying to hide it.
Theyâve likely got secret agreements with Sky Sports which is why they all lick each otherâs backsides every week.
Actively make the premier League a worse product week by week.
I wish we could protest in some way.
Absolutely, they took long enough over a clearly onside goal, they would find a way of giving a penalty.
Likewise our goal at the end. Taylor totally fucked-up by not allowing the play to continue then get VAR to decide whether Kiwior committed a foul and whether Kai controlled the ball with his arm. I donât think either were fouls, but Iâve sure the VAR lads would have found some freeze-frame that confirms their bias.
Example of inconsistency 1054:
