Howard Webb and his Cabal of Cunts

Didn’t we top/win some “fair play” league once or a few times under the later Wenger era. Or did I make that up.

When the game is no longer played in the spirit of sportsmanship and is all about rules and regulations then it is no longer a proper football game. Referees are there to maintain the spirit of the game and used to use common sense and allow the game to flow. Now its all about their 15mins of fame and the obvious underlying culture of being the focal point - gone are the days of proper refereeing and allowing the games to flow.

Thought as much when I saw the tweet but couldn’t check, thanks for doing it for me.

What is City’s red card count for the same period?

i’m surprised. I can’t even remember a single red card they’ve received in recent years

Any of them happen to Rodri?

I think Rodri got a red card somewhere last season and City went on to drop points in the next two games.

@GC-Maniac can probably tell you in which game and minute this happened

Pretty sure it was for a headbutt or some other kind of violent conduct. Should have been sent off in the previous season vs Liverpool at home for two yellows but somehow avoided a blatant yellow in that game.

The Manchester City player was sent off after grabbing Morgan Gibbs-White by the throat

Was this the match where City fan Chris Wood missed crucial clear chances?

Nah, that was the reverse fixture in the run-in.

Even more amazing, one that has an inkling about the game.

So a ref decided to abuse his position of power to get back at a high profile black player? That’s shocking. I can’t believe it. What a wild revelation.

What’s the colour of Wright’s skin got to do with the story he’s told?

Ludicrous how they’re all just laughing along with that Edward Woodward looking mofo.

English football had and has issues with black players. It showed up in the way the media treats players, fans treat players, players treat players and officials treat players. It would be naive to think otherwise.

Do I think the ref in that clip is some sort of sheet-wearing-David Duke-racist? I doubt it. But it certainly sounds like he felt perfectly comfortable not doing his job because he wanted to teach a player a lesson. I’m skeptical that the ref would have done something like that for a high profile white England international.

Should’ve been a red tbh. Would’ve been one of it was an Arsenal player

He would have started following them in the 2010s when they were already a top team with lots of money. Just another bandwagon cunt.
