Lost his athleticism and pace due to the injuries. Suffered quite a few shockers. That one against Chelsea in particular.
There’s more talent shifted to play fullback now too.
Used to be a general rule that failed wingers ended up being pushed back to play fullback. Now it’s midfielders being pushed back to play fullback and being “just” dependable enough at the top level won’t cut it.
We see fullbacks being genuine game changers for teams now.
A guy who was wrecked by that injury. Still love him though.
If Ceballos had any respect for himself he would be joining him there. Dude still thinks he’ll eventually find a starting spot at Real Madrid.
That Betis top is a cracker
Their kits under Hummel have been sensational so far too.
This video is wild, first time I’ve ever heard Bellerin talk at length like this and I didn’t realise how nuts his accent is
Oh yeah! It’s one of the things I love about him , sounds like he’s spent his entire life in North London. He came here at like 15/16 right?
He was okay. Not ‘special’. Too much of his game was based on his speed.
Idk you can’t teach speed. I think his injury happened at such an unfortunate time for him and he wasn’t able to develop new skills alongside that pace.
Be honest, Martinelli’s game is based on speed also.
If he doesn’t improve his skills and decision making and just rely on his speed, he is one injury away to be just another player.
Nah don’t agree, this sport is loaded with speedsters. The injuries sucked but I don’t think that stopped him from developing his overall game (or certain aspects of it).
Well his speed was his only real defending ability, once he lost that he became just a winger playing at full back again.
The mustache-mullet combo goes unnecessarily hard.
like a XS size Pedro Pascal
Each to their own, but I think it looks fucking awful.
Tbf, it is a good look if you want to look like a seedy nonce.
Yeah, some retro haircuts are good… He didn’t pick one of those.
