That’s a good point. I can’t have been the only one to have underestimated how devastating that injury could be for a guy coming into his prime. It feels like he’s had to grow up a little bit in terms of his game and not just rely on his pace. Obviously I don’t know what’s going on in his head but I assume he’s also had to learn to trust that knee again which, if it’s scary for me to trust my knee to continue a mediocre amateur distance running career, I can only imagine how tough it is when your livelihood depends on it.
In a perfect world he stays for another five or six years and rides off into the sunset as a total legend but of course we fucked up our contracts and found ourselves in a position with three players for ostensibly one spot.

Looked at. But not that convincing that they want to sign him. I think it was reported yesterday that PSG signed Florenzi. Hopefully Barcelona comes and get him but I doubt it.

Bellerin has been solid since last seasons restart and showing maturity in his performances now at a prime age. Under Arteta he’ll do well. I would not be hasty at all to sell him even to bring in some funds. AMN is looking like a good LWB so why deplete another area of the pitch? Cedric is the most bizarre contract extension I can remember.

Tierney is not going to be a centre back for ever. He’s playing there because of injuries. I think a new midfielder improves us more than keeping Bellerin.

First time he has looked so assured and confident in bloody ages. Probably because it was Fulham.
Just keep him. Selling only gives us more transfer headache as we’d have to address the right wingback position as well.
Tierney and Niles on the left. Hector and Cedric on the right. Use Emi, Papa, Kola and possibly Laca money to fund Aouar and/or Partey signings and get a cheap GK.
