Ornstein now reporting the same stuff. I think this has real legs.
Edit: Beaten by Feche.
ooooooft!!
I think Hector will want to go with Paris being the fashion capital of the world.
Be a great move for him and us.
It’s a risk and gamble we should take. Sorting the midfield could be the difference that makes us competitive in the top four
This is real then.
Annoying really given that our FB’s are vital to attack/opening up spaces on the field. We can’t truly expect Soares to fill the void for a season can we? I fully expect AMN to play some weird midfield role, so I’m discounting him playing there for now.
I really think AMN could become a top class RB.
I’d like to give him the opportunity.
Omg, siu!
@Phoebica, karma is real it seems. :bellerin:
That doesn’t mean anything. They can sign him for the bench. Except for van Persie, Fabregas and Nasri which player that left did anything of note after leaving post-2008?

Paris Saint-Germain have approached Arsenal to express their interest in signing Hector Bellerin and the clubs are now engaged in dialogue aimed at finding an agreement in the coming weeks.
The French champions are long-term admirers of Bellerin and identified him as their preferred right-back to replace Thomas Meunier, who left as a free agent in June to join Borussia Dortmund.
Arsenal would like Bellerin to stay and are prepared to discuss a new contract, but they will not stand in the way of a deal being struck if a suitable fee is received for the 25-year-old Spaniard.
PSG’s pursuit is set to intensify with a formal offer and it is expected that Bellerin would be open to a fresh challenge should the sides reach a consensus. While it is likely that the initial bid will fall below Arsenal’s asking price, there is optimism that a middle ground can be established amicably.
There is also an acceptance among some at Arsenal that his sale could generate vital income to help recruit priority targets in the current transfer window.
Arsenal want to bring in Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey — he has a £44.5 million release clause — and conversations have taken place over the Lyon playmaker Houssem Aouar.
It is unclear if those situations will be affected by the imminent return of Dani Ceballos for a second season on loan from Real Madrid. Ceballos is scheduled to arrive in London this week and must self-isolate for 14 days in line with the British government’s coronavirus protocols.
Whereas Arsenal paid a loan fee and part-funded the Spaniard’s salary in 2019-20, it is thought Real have waived the loan payment this time in exchange for his wages being covered in full.
Arsenal look reasonably well-equipped to cope if Bellerin is to depart, thanks to the form of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and acquisition of Cedric Soares. Maitland-Niles was on course to exit this summer but has emerged as an important player under head coach Mikel Arteta, while Soares signed a four-year contract as a free agent following a period on loan from Southampton.
Bellerin has other suitors — namely, Juventus and Bayern Munich — but PSG’s advances have been the most concrete and they are likely to prove the best option for Arsenal financially.
The defender moved to Arsenal from Barcelona in 2011 and has registered 205 appearances. He seems to have made a full recovery from a serious knee injury and is under contract until 2023.
That place is basically a hybrid-midfield role. Maitland-Niles should do well defending and supporting Ceballos/Xhaka I think he lacks too much in attacking sense though.
honestly milk the fucks for money if they’re coming for him, it doesn’t matter whatsoever to them if they pay another £10m or not. Get £35m for him at least.
Maitland-Niles is amazing offensively. Look at his run as right-back. Best partner Pepe and Auba(in Emery’s first season) had down the right.
I don’t think he is tbh. Just a bit too slow in his thinking and not creative enough for what we need if 3-4-3 is here too stay. But maybe Arteta can develop him in that regard.
Well at least it’s not some Italian club offering us 12m after an initial 1-year loan deal. I reckon we could push PSG up over 30m.
AMN and Cedric with Chambers as the additional cover is not too bad, especially if it means we can add to our midfield.
Yeah, well, none of us will be laughing when we have to watch Cedric trip up his own feet every week!
Nah, we’ll be watching Pepe and AMN balling on the right like they used to.
Look, you win either way.
Either he’s a starter here, or a starter at PSG.
Hectors is gonna kill it either way God willing.
We just have to make this move work for us also, if it’s to happen.
