Didnât watch the game but going by all the comments in this thread, I am now very worried.
Newcastle away will likely be the toughest of all the games weâve played so far and we couldnât even get our act together against Port Vale 
Did you think the performance against Port Vale with 9 changes and the Newcastle game around the corner that we would be at full titlt?
This game is like a training exercise, get through and move on. It was never going to be a spectacle. It is like Arsenal fans are constantly looking for reasons to be down
I mean when you start fast and go 1-0 up inside 8 mins, youâd be forgiven for thinking we might get to watch a slightly more exciting game than the horseshit we got.
On the weekend it will be that newcastles a long journey after a midweek game, 3 games in 7 days, tough place to go and play nice football etc.
Until we get regular exciting performances that donât feel like a slog to win any game OR rattle off 10 wins in a row to compensate, of course people will moan.

Yes, given they are some 61 places below us or whatever. And while we made 9 changes, these werenât some random kids from the academy that we fielded. Also, I would imagine we wouldnât need to be at full tilt to put in a commanding performance with a few goals, given the vast gap in quality between them and us.
In the end, as long as we get the right result, the rest doesnât matter I guess, not in the cup competitions at least.
So does a 2 or 3 goal lead against a team 2 leagues lower.
