It certainly seemed to be that way. There were links to Hertha Berlin when things got tetchy between Xhaka and the fans too.

Good, moving on from him was a good decision. 
Surely some Saudi club wouldāve taken him. Or even some mid table clubs in most leagues. Seems like a strange decision to move to a club highly likely to get relegated next summer.

True, but big clubs often buy older players to supplement their squad, which is where Xhaka would come in
