How has he aged so much in 2 years

Xhaka looks shattered…

What’s happened to him?? Looks like an AI-edit..

I thought Iniesta retired ages ago lol.

post hair transplant

Neom project is going to cost $9 trillion and the football club can’t afford 10m euro for Xhaka, sad times.

Three year deal.

Was the main reason for him to go to Leverkusen that his family wanted to go to Germany?

It certainly seemed to be that way. There were links to Hertha Berlin when things got tetchy between Xhaka and the fans too.

Charmed by god knows what exists in Sunderland though :ode2:

Someone tell him Sunderland ain’t Wunderland.

Money and the chance to play in the best league in the world again. Worst case scenario, Sunderland get relegated he gets out of jail free.

:man_shrugging:

I swear I remember one of the reasons mentioned for him leaving in 2023 was that his family wanted to move back to Germany.

Now he wants to go to fucking Sunderland?

Also, all the wanking over how good he is and how we missed him. He’s so good his choices after leading Leverkusen to a Farmersliga title are Sunderland and Neom.

He’s 33 in September, not sure many big clubs would see him as someone to build around now

Sunderland seems a good club to play for.

Decent stadium and excellent support can understand his reasoning

Good, moving on from him was a good decision. :+1:

Surely some Saudi club would’ve taken him. Or even some mid table clubs in most leagues. Seems like a strange decision to move to a club highly likely to get relegated next summer.

Dude, where did his hair go?

Life under Erik Ten Heisenberg.

True, but big clubs often buy older players to supplement their squad, which is where Xhaka would come in
